✍️ In Defense of Gonçalo Ramos
Gonçalo Ramos has yet to hit his strike in the FIFA Club World Cup, but that doesn't mean Paris Saint-Germain should move on from the striker.
Coming into the FIFA Club World Cup, several players needed to have a standout tournament. Gonçalo Ramos was one of them, and so far, after two matches, the only impression he’s made is a negative one.
In the opening match of the Club World Cup, Ramos started alongside Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué against Atlético Madrid. There was plenty of quality throughout the squad to provide service to Ramos. Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and João Neves. There was so much quality, in fact, that PSG ended up defeating the La Liga side 4-0 with Senny Mayulu and Kang-In Lee coming off the bench to score two goals. You know who didn’t score? That’s right. Ramos, and he was subbed off after 65 minutes.
