Few could have predicted that Paris Saint-Germain, the UEFA Champions League winners, would need a result at Seattle Sounders to keep their FIFA Club World Cup dreams alive, but here we are.

Joining me on the latest Ensemble PSG Podcast is Ari from Lobbing Scorchers. We talk about the Seattle Sounders, their strengths, and fan support, and make a prediction for Monday’s match at Lumen Field.

Up first, I get Ari’s take on the Club World Cup and how the competition has impacted Seattle as they are in the middle of the Major League Soccer season. We also talk about players in the Sounders squad who might cause PSG some issues.

Next, we talk about the substantial prize money up for grabs and whether that will add some additional motivation for Seattle despite being eliminated from the knockout stage. Sounders consistently boast one of the best supporters in MLS, and I ask Ari about what he expects in terms of atmosphere despite the match kicking off midday.

Finally, we wrap up the show with a conversation about Apple TV and whether it would be a good broadcaster for Ligue 1, potential opportunities for Ligue 1 and MLS to collaborate, and I get his lineup and score prediction.

Thank you for listening and subscribing. Use the chat feature or leave a comment if you have a topic you want us to discuss on a future show. Allez, PSG!

Coming into the FIFA Club World Cup, several players needed to have a standout tournament. Gonçalo Ramos was one of them, and so far, after two matches, the only impression he’s made is a negative one.
