✍️ Kvaratskhelia Could Define a PSG Era
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is Paris Saint-Germain's most expensive January signing, but will his arrival lead to success in the French capital?
Late on Friday evening, the news broke that all PSG fans had been waiting for: Napoli attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia officially became a player of the Parc des Princes club.
With a fee of around €70m on his head, Kvaratskhelia became the most expensive January operation in the club’s history, nearly doubling the previous mark, held jointly by Leandro Paredes and Lucas Moura at €40m. The expectation is that the Georgia international star will not flop to the same extent as the South Americans, particularly Paredes, who left in 2023 for just €2.5m.
According to FootballTransfers’ Estimated Transfer Value (ETV), the player is worth €72.3m. By paying an upfront fee under this figure, the Ligue 1 leaders can justifiably feel that they have got him at an excellent price.
