✍️ Has Real Madrid Made Mbappé a Bigger Star?
Kylian Mbappé left Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid to grow his brand and win the biggest trophies in the sport.
It’s taken Kylian Mbappé little more than a year, but the France international star finally seems to have wrestled the honor of being the face of Real Madrid from an increasingly discontent Vinicius Junior. But while the 26-year-old appears to have won this mini-battle, how has the decision to leave PSG for the Bernabeu worked out for the Bondy-born star?
On the field, it’s clearly not been ideal—at least from a team perspective. Barcelona has eclipsed Real Madrid, and as another Clasico looms, the memory of four successive defeats—two of them thumping—from last term stirs.
From a personal viewpoint, it’s going better. Even if Mbappé has been forced to adopt a permanent role as centre-forward, one he actively railed against under Luis Enrique at PSG, he is adapting to it. After an impressive debut season in which he scored 43 goals, he has 15 in just 10 matches this season. These are unquestionably world-class figures.
